Hello! Thank you for visiting A Daughter’s Perspective.
My name is Sara Warner and I am 22 years old, currently studying Public Relations at Western Continuing Studies (offered through Western University) in London, Ontario.
Being born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario (where there’s absolutely nothing to do but run into construction) I quickly discovered a passion for writing, media, and art, which lead me to pursue a degree in Media, Information and Technoculture at Western University.
Aside from school (and writing about my mom’s cancer), I love:
- Spicy California Rolls
- The colour pink
- Dad jokes
- Cheese pizza
- Red roses
- Seth Rogan movies
- DARK BOLD MAKEUP
- Coconut milkshakes from The Works
- The pink deer Snapchat filter
- More cheese pizza
- Candles that smell like vanilla
And most importantly, my friends and family.
As you all know, my beautiful mother, Rose Warner, is battling cancer for the second time. She was diagnosed with stage two cancer in 2008, becoming cancer free, but relapsed in 2016 with stage four metastatic cancer.
Writing about her cancer is not only therapeutic, but it gives me the opportunity to help others like me who are watching their own mothers (or loved ones) battle cancer.
